if a circle has a diameter of 180 pixels then it's circumference is approximately 565 pixels. if it rotates along a line at 30 degrees for each turn, then it will travel approximately 47 pixels along that line for each 30 degree turn. for you see, 360 degrees divided by 30 degrees equals 12. ergo and ipso fatso, 565 divided 12 equals 47. verstehen? the above animation depicts just such a scenario at 50 milliseconds between frames...now fuck off!
